The Ask
At the heart of the Sonoran Desert, Scottsdale, Arizona, is a destination of escape for many, but it has been over a decade since it has seen a true revolution in hospitality. To build a new brand in a place rooted in heritage, this Hilton Curio Collection project needed a soft brand experience that balances the natural essence of the desert with the modern amenities that guests love.
The Answer
Inspired by the flora & fauna of Scottsdale's natural beauty and the resilience required to thrive in the desert, I led my team to find a balance in the beauty of 'desert modern.' Rooting our name in the senna covesii, a perfect representation of this balance, we built a visual identity system that reflects the simplicity of natural design and the elegance of hospitality— creating an iconic and history-making brand.
